Janet is married with two children. She operates a transportation business for a living. With two years in running a transportation business, Janet was happy to say that this helps a lot for her family. She also sells cosmetics in their village.
She borrowed a loan from GDMPC to pay the school fees of her children.
In the future, she wants to have a better living with her family and plans to buy another unit of motorcycle for business expansion.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
