Lolita has been operating her own bakery for many years, and she earns well from this. Having a family requires more efforts to provide for the needs, especially those of the children. She has to work hard, with the determination to have more income, to provide her children better education.
To improve her sales, she took a new loan from GDMPC. She will use the loan to buy raw ingredients, for preparing cakes and pastries to sell. In the future, Lolita hopes to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
