Esther is a married woman with two children. For the past three years, she has operated a store where she sells sugar, salt, cooking oil, rice, and other items. Esther’s business is located in an area with good business potential and her primary customers are locals. She describes herself as time-conscious and her biggest business challenge is the lack of capital.
Esther is requesting a 30,000 KES loan to buy more stock of cooking oil, rice, salt, and other items. This will be her second loan with SMEP Microfinance Bank and she successfully repaid her previous loan. Esther’s business goal is to expand within five years and to create youth employment in the future.
