The Communal Bank “Estrellitas” (Little Stars) is starting its third loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Collpani Community Center. This group consists of eight members and is led by a Board of Directors in which Sra. Sandra is the president. The members of this Communal Bank engage in different businesses such as selling tennis shoes, selling clothes, selling a variety of merchandise, selling sports equipment, knitting sweaters, and producing coats.

This loan will benefit small entrepreneurs such as Sra. Sandra. She says that this is the first time she has joined Pro Mujer after receiving an invitation from of a promoter of the organization who visited her at her house. Sandra currently has a business of selling tennis shoes. She has gained knowledge of this business since she started it three years ago. Sandra learned the trade from her parents who were in the same line of work. After she had a child, she decided to become independent and start her own business.

The loan she is receiving now will be used to increase her capital for buying tennis shoes in bulk. She acquires her products from the wholesale vendors in the city of El Alto and then sells them from her vending stall. Working in his manner enables her to generate income to support her family. Sandra is single and has one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Sandra said that she enjoys the training seminars and the health services offered by the organization.

La A.C. “ESTRELLTAS” iniciará el tercer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Collpani, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Sandra es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de tenis, venta de ropa, venta de artículos varios, venta de artículos deportivos, tejido de chompas, costura de abrigos.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Sandra es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de tenis; da a conocer que este negocio lo implemento hace tres años atrás, aprendiendo el mismo de sus padres que tenían el mismo negocio, cuando tuvo su hijo decide independizarse y tener su negocio independientemente.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de tenis por mayor) que adquirirá de las vendedoras mayoristas de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará en su puesto de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, ya que ella es soltera y tiene un hijo.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las capacitaciones y el área de salud que le ofrece la institución.
