Phina is married with three children and all of her children go to school. She doesn't take care of additional family members. She has a business selling charcoal and has been in this business for nine years. She has applied for a loan of 3,000,000 Uganda shillings (UGX) from MCDT SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She works seven days out of every week and sells to all categories of people, but on a retail basis. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to build her own house. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent, feeding the family, and school fees.
