The parish church and the knoll of Hitocruz are other very attractive areas.

One of the members of this group is Jenny. She's a very hardworking woman who has been an active part of the credit group Corazones de Turi for the past three years. She likes this form of loan because of the friendship and solidarity that exists among all of the partners. At every meeting they share fond moments.

Jenny is 25 years old, married, and the fruit of her conjugal union is that she has conceived two sons who are five and three years old. Her eldest son is studying in a little school in the town. Her husband works as a master of construction. She doesn't have her own house so she lives with her in-laws.

Jenny makes a living by raising chickens, cattle, pigs and crops for her household and for sale. For the past six months she has made a living by handing out flyers in the street for a prestigious business. The money from her loan will go toward the purchase of chickens, pigs and animal feed. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
