While her husband works abroad, Glorife runs a transportation business, providing transportation services and rental. Her tenant remitted a daily rental to her, which contributed more to their household expenses while waiting for the support from her husband.
She joined GDMPC to gain access to any services offered. She borrowed a loan just recently to repair a transport vehicle used in the business.
In the future, she wants to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
