Tres de Noviembre Group is made up of seven members who live around the parish of Cumbe in Cuenca, a place with a cold climate that has beautiful natural landscapes to enjoy because of the rugged geography. The parish center is colonial and modern. The people there are friendly and very hardworking. They work in agriculture, raising animals, and commerce, and many have migrated in search of a better future for their families.

One of the members of this group is Ana, 24, who is single and lives with her parents. Her father's a private employee and her mother works in agriculture. The house she lives in is their own.

Ana earns a living raising livestock, guinea pigs, and chickens, which she sells in her own community. She sells the milk from her cows to milk trucks. She's going to invest her new loan in buying livestock to raise.

Her goal is to have more animals as well as a workshop for handmade embroidery.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
