José
Jose is 50 years old, and is married with four children. He has been dedicated to the craft of carpentry for 30 years. He says that most recently finding work is difficult because raw materials, like wood, are hard to find. A high percentage of what he makes is made with a combination of wood and metal. His specialties are kitchen furniture, baby cribs, beds ect. Some of his clients are furniture retailers in the cities of Tobati, Caacupe, and Paraguari. The loans he obtained from the Paraguaya Foundation were invested in the purchase of wood, and metal support rods along with other manual tools. He is in the planning stage of opening a repair shop with his son, and with this newest loan it will permit him to purchase the tools he needs.
