Santos Elena
Santos is 37 years old. She only went to school until third grade. Now she is married and works in farming. She has three children; only two of them are going to school. They are the only ones who depend on Santos and her husband.

Santos has had a tortilla-selling business for a year. She decided to go into this business because it was the most viable way she found to give her children all they needed and to pay for their schooling. She sells tortillas in the morning, and in the afternoon she works in a bakery. She leaves this job at 5:30 pm and then goes home to spend time with her children.

Santos needs this loan a lot to purchase merchandise. She has a guest house, and she wants to stock it. She will purchase candy wholesale (40 bags of candy). She will also purchase a refrigerator and three quintals (hundredweights) of corn.

Her dream is to set up a store that will allow her to have the necessary income to continue caring for her children and paying for their school.
