Maria Pastora
One quintal of rice and another of beans were a few of the first products that gave the opportunity to María, who is 48 years old, to become a merchant. She opened her own small store 3 years ago with the support of $500 from her husband. Despite not have her Secondary school diploma, she did study until 4th year of secondary school and she has always tried to continue to learn through her work.

María Pastora is a mother and a role model for her 3 children, aged 22, 25 and 30, all of them independent. Unfortunately she has not always enjoyed the financial support shared with her husband which makes things sustainable. However she would like to continue to expand changing her store into a distribution center, but she needs a loan to invest in working capital. She will buy beans, rice, vegetables, instant soups amongst other products to offer a greater variety of products to her clients. She wants to expand her business which has always been her goal.
