The communal bank, "29 de Mayo" is entering its first cycle in Pro Mujer as part of its Senkata regional office. The group is made up of eight members and it is led by a board of directors on which Steffi is the president. The businesses that the members of the communal bank have are varied and include clothing sales, glove sales, sewing hats, baby clothing sales, backpack sales, ice cream sales and coca sales.

The loan that they are requesting will benefit small business where Steffi is a member. She states that this is the first time that she takes part in Pro Mujer, joining after receiving an invitation from a client of the institution. Currently, she has a business selling coca. She states that she started the business many years ago because since she was little, she helped her family sell this product. She comments that the product is requested in the Alteño market for akullicu (chewing of coca leaves).

The loan that she is seeking will be used to increase her capital (purchase coca in bulk) that she will acquire in the markets in the city of La Paz and later sell in her retail space. This line of work allows her to earn an income to support her family since she is single and lives with her parents. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she enjoys the health center, the loans and the trainings offered by the institution.

La A.C. “29 DE MAYO” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Senkata, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Steffi es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de ropa, venta de guantes, costura de gorras, venta de ropa de bebe, venta de mochilas, venta de helados, venta de coca.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Steffi es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una compañera que es cliente de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de coca; da a conocer que este negocio lo implemento hace varios años, ya que desde niña apoyaba a su familia en el comercio de este producto. Ella comenta que este producto es requerido en el mercado Alteño para el akullicu .

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de coca por mayor) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de La Paz y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, ya que ella es soltera y vive con sus padres.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud, los créditos y las capacitaciones que ofrece la institución.
