Albino lives in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. He earns income through selling used shoes in the market to support the needs of his three children. He has been doing this for ten years. He gets a good income from this business. For a 68-year old father, there’s nothing more that can make him happy, except to see his children's success.
Without hesitation, Albino is borrowing a new loan from GDMPC micro-credit to buy additional used shoes to resell. He joined GDMPC recently. His plan in the future is to hopefully improve his business to ensure a better source of income for the family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
