Abdi is a married woman with two children, both of whom still attend school and are still under her care. They live in a rental house that has electricity but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees for the children.
Abdi has operated a clothes selling business. She sells at the market to her town dwellers and her neighbours. She cites her major challenge to be seasonality. Abdi dreams of establishing a boutique in the future.
With the loan she is requesting, she wants to purchase two bales of clothes for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
