Biasha is a married woman who has been blessed with four kids who attend school. She lives in her own house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Biasha operates a fish-selling business, which has been operational for over two years. She mentioned seasonality as a challenge in the business. Biasha dreams of becoming a wholesaler of fish in the future.
With the KES 50,000, she wants to purchase sacks of fish for resale. She joined Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
