Ousmane
Born in January 1964 in San (San County), Ousmane didn't have the opportunity to attend school. Instead he worked as a woodworker. He is married and has five children. He lives with his family in the neighbourhood of Lafiabougou in the San prefecture. Ousmane makes doors, windows, threshing machines and chairs. He learned his trade from his uncle, more than 25 years ago, and has been working for himself in the main market for 15 years now.

He is very sought-after by his clients and would like to increase his production, so, one year ago, he started working with the field partner, Soro Yiriwaso. This will be his second individual loan. He plans to use his loan to buy a large quantity of iron from wholesalers in San.

Ousmane's customers are both men and women and they buy on a cash or credit basis. He expects to make an average monthly profit of 100,000 francs CFA, which he will use to repay his loan, pay the school fees of his children, buy food and reinvest in his business.
