More information about this loan

This loan is part of GDMPC's new redemption loan program. During difficult times, poorer clients in rural areas often sell farming lots. This decreases their capacity to generate income, and they are often unable to reclaim the land. GDMPC's program enables these clients to buy back their lots and cultivate them again. In addition, the institution provides working capital loans so clients can invest in seeds and fertilizers to increase crop yields.

Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
