The loan she is requesting is for preparing land and buying insecticides and fertilizer in order to invest in farming corn and beans, earn income and give better food to her family.

She wants to be able to help her two daughters economically with their studies in the future, so that they can become professionals. María de 48 años de edad, estudio hasta sexto grado en la escuela y que debido a que tenía que trabajar para sobrevivir, porque la situación económica en su hogar era muy difícil tuvo que dejar sus estudios y dedicarse a trabajar, está acompañada su esposo se dedica a los trabajos de albañilería. Es madre de 5 hijos de los cuales solo dos hijas viven en su casa, una de 17 años y la otra de 14, las cuales estudian.

María se dedica a los oficios domésticos, su madre le enseño este oficio y que gracias a ello ahora ella puede sobrevivir con este trabajo. Ella se dedica a esta labor desde que era pequeña, comenta que sus hijas y su esposo le ayudan en su tiempos libres, ella no tiene un horario debido a que los quehaceres del hogar tiene que comenzarlos desde muy temprano para poder atender a su esposo antes de que salga a su trabajo.

El préstamo que está solicitando, es para la preparación de la tierra, compra de insecticidas y abono. Para invertirlo en la agricultura en la siembra de maíz y frijol, tener ingresos y poderle dar una mejor alimentación a su familia.

Ella desea para un futuro poder ayudar económicamente a sus dos hijas en sus estudios, que logren alcanzar ser profesionales siempre con la ayuda de su esposo, también desea poder remodelar su casa para vivir más cómodamente con su familia y tener mejores cosechas que le generen mayores ingresos para su familia.

This loan is part of a CrediCampo project to help rural farmers living in extreme poverty plant basic grains to feed their families. Excess product is sold on the local market. These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
