Sreyroth is a resident of the Bovel district, located in Battambang province. She is a 21-year old married mother with two children. The primary business for the family is crop farming, which she has been doing for about four years.
She has been a borrower of Kiva’s partner, VisionFund, for one cycle already. She has successfully repaid the past loan, and it allowed her to raise the living condition of her family to a better level.
Now Sreyroth is seeking another loan of 2,000,000 KHR in order to pay for the plowing fee.
She strongly believes that the loan will enable her to continue her farming business in order to earn a living to feed her children.
About VisionFund Cambodia
VisionFund Cambodia is a Christian organization and microfinance institution that provides small loans and other financial services to improve the lives of children, empower poor women and their families, and grow successful businesses. The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
