Romeo, a father of four, provides transportation services in their village to make a living.
For more than two years he has earned well to provide for the family. He needs to repair and maintain his motorcycle to improve the services to his customers. With the microfinance loan from GDMPC, his plan was realized. In the future he wants to acquire a new motorcycle unit to use it for expansion of his services.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
