Tina has over 16 years of educational experiences working in urban, suburban and affluent school districts. She has effectively used her professional experiences to propel her students to higher levels of academic achievement, increasing standardized test scores by an average of 43%. In addition to transferring her passion for learning and teaching to her students, Tina has facilitated multiple district professional development workshops for internal and external district clients. She has served in supervisory positions as a grade level chairperson. Tina has a unique rapport with students and staff and has been able to transfer her energy, enthusiasm, and passion to create programs and organizations for students, which led to the opening of an educational environment that gives students the opportunity to use their diverse academic backgrounds and showcase their individual gifts.
Her curriculum is nonconventional, and it seeks to nourish the skills that standard-driven public schools often neglect. Through Emaginations’ focus on teamwork, risk-taking, creativity and diversity, children gain self-confidence, begin to think critically and learn to love learning.
Emaginations is a place where a love of learning is projected to change the face of how all kids learn and create a movement within corporate recruitment and retention. Tina will use this loan to purchase classroom supplies and advertising.
