Lita is from Bino-ongan, Enrique Villanueva, Siquijor. She is forty-eight years old and is married with two children.
In 2012, Lita applied for membership with PMPC. Hearing all the benefits, she never hesitated to become a member. She maintains the status of being a member in good standing and repays her obligations in a timely manner.
Recently, Lita asked for financial assistance of Php 25,000 to purchase additional ingredients such as baking powder, flour and sugar for her bakery. Through this, she hopes to increase her income and expand her business. She has found assistance for their financial needs through Paglaum Multi Purpose Cooperative and she is thankful with all her heart.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
