Juan tiene 65 años de edad, vive con su familia en el municipio de Sololá, departamento de Sololá, tiene 7 hijos, 4 esta casados ya no viven con él, dos hijos de las edades de 11 y 4 años estudian primaria en la escuela de la comunidad, y una hija de 13 años que ayuda a su mamá en los oficios de la casa, se dedica a cultivar ejote y zanahoria, de estas actividades obtiene su ingresos, también hace labores de jardinería, Juan necesita un crédito por un monto de Q. 3,500.00 para comprar insumos para el cultivo de ejote y zanahoria (semilla, abono orgánico, fertilizante y otros), el sueño de Juan es cambiar el techo de su casa, él comenta que ya no está en buenas condiciones su techo.
