A group of neighbors and friends compose the solidarity bank "El Mirador de Bombon" in the district of Challabamba in the province of Paucartambo.
Ezequiel is 41 years old and lives in the Mirador de Bombon community. Ezequiel is a hardworking person who learned to farm and raise livestock from his parents at a very young age. He is a charismatic and kind man who makes his way in the world by growing potatoes, wheat, barley, and oats. In his free time, Ezequiel also fattens livestock to later sell. So, he is requesting this loan in order to buy a cow.

This communal bank is composed of various people looking for opportunities to get ahead and who work hard in order to provide their children with a better future. The members make a living by farming, raising small animals, and fattening cattle. They are grateful for this opportunity that is being offered to them and pledge to make all of their repayments as scheduled.

Un grupo de vecinos y amigos formaron el banco solidario “El Mirador de Bombon” en el distrito de Challabamba en la provincia de Paucartambo. Ezequiel 41 años y vive en la comunidad de Mirador de Bombon. Ezequiel es una persona trabajadora que desde muy joven aprendió de sus padres la agricultura y la ganadería, él es una persona carismática y amable que sale adelante cultivando papa, trigo, cebada y avena, él en sus horas libres se dedica al engorde de ganado entonces él en esta oportunidad requiere el préstamo para comprar un ganado. Este banco comunal está conformado por varias personas que buscan a cada momento las oportunidades para salir adelante y con su esfuerzo diario entregar un mejor futuro a sus hijos. Los socios se dedican a la agricultura, a la ganadería, a la crianza de animales menores y el engorde de ganado. Los socios en general agradecen la oportunidad brindada y se comprometen a cumplir con el pago de sus diferentes cuotas en los plazos establecidos.

Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru. Arariwa serves the southern Andean provinces of Peru, and is distinguished by its efforts to reach the very poor, who often live in isolated rural areas.
