Silvana is 44 years old and single, living only with her brother in the southern part of Kosovo. For the last 15 years, Silvana has been working out of her home as a seamstress and making handicrafts in order to make a living. Due to the amount of years she has been in business and the amount of handwork and details she puts into her profession, she has many customers and does a lot of business. Her brother works to provide for them as well.
Silvana is requesting a loan in order to purchase materials for her work. She is very happy to have the opportunity to work for herself and to not be in need of asking others for help or for money. Eventually she would like to open a shop outside of her home and be able to continue to grow her business even more. Knowing that this is a Kiva loan, she wants to thank all of the lenders for their support and promises to pay on time.
