Carlos Xavier
San Miguel de los Bancos is the canton of love, a canton with a warm, humid climate and has various vacation places that are frequented by domestic and international tourists. Traditionally they have festivals of the canton, where there are popular dances and the famous burning of the castle. The people of this canton are very friendly and peaceful with all of the visitors.

Carlos lives and works in this canton. This 19-year-old young man is single and doesn't have any children. He works very hard in construction and works an average of 8 hours each day. He comes from a family of limited economic resources, and his parents could only give him a primary school education and, on his own, he is attending secondary school. He was born and raised on a cattle farm and knows this business well, so he asks for a loan to start his own business which would be to buy some dairy cows.

With this investment, he will increase his income a lot and will be able to continue his studies and improve the quality of life for himself and his family. Carlos thanks Fundación Alternativa and Kiva for the support and the opportunities offered.
