Mwavuo is a married man with seven children, all of whom attend school. He lives in his own house that neither has electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are for food and school fees.
For the past seven years he has operated a retail shop, selling to his neighbours and passersby.
With this loan he wants to purchase soap, wheat flour, bread, milk, soft drinks, rice, beans, and cooking oil. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
