Edilberto de 63 años de edad, por motivos de distancia solo estudio hasta segundo grado de educación básica y después decidió dedicarse al trabajo de la agricultura, él es acompañado tiene 4 hijos junto a su esposa, ella se dedica a los oficios domésticos de la casa y al cuido de animales domésticos, (gallinas) 2 hijos están acompañados y 2 están en la escuela y son los que dependen de él.

Edilberto tiene 50 años de experiencia de dedicarse a este trabajo, ya que desde que estaba muy pequeño decidió dedicarse a este trabajo, ya que no tuvo la oportunidad de seguir estudiando, el aprendió este trabajo ya que su padre se lo enseño desde que estaba muy pequeño; él viaja a pie 30 minutos para llegar hasta el lugar donde trabaja, y sus 2 hijos le ayudan debido a que ellos estudian por la tarde y tiene la oportunidad de ayudarle a trabaja en la mañana.

El préstamo que está solicitando, es para comprar 6 sacos de fertilizante, 2 bolsas de semilla y pago de mano de obra.

This loan is part of a CrediCampo project to help rural farmers living in extreme poverty plant basic grains to feed their families. Excess product is sold on the local market. These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
