Clievy is married with two children. She operates her own transportation service business while her husband works in a private institution to make a living. For two years she has earned well to support the family. Recently, she borrowed a loan from GDMPC microcredit to cover the costs for renewal of transportation licenses. In the future, the couple wants to but another motorcycle for expansion of the business. She wants to improve the general living situation of the entire family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
