The lending group Nueva Asuncion will begin their 6th cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Focal Center of Alto Lima. The group has 8 members and a board of directors, of which Sonia acts as president. The members have varied businesses including: selling blankets; a store for mirrors and key chains; knitting sweaters; selling pickles; and making coats.

The loan will benefit these small business owners, including Sonia. She has been with Pro Mujer for 2 years, joining at the invitation of a friend from the institution who came to her home. Currently she has a business selling mirrors. She learned the business from her mother, helping her from a young age. When she began to live with her husband, she decided to make her own store. She will use the loan to increase her capital, buying mirrors at wholesale from the distributors in El Alto and later selling them in her commercial space. This work allows her to generate resources to support her family, which includes her husband and two children. When asked what the likes most about Pro Mujer, she responded that she likes the loan and the trainings that the institution offers.

La A.C. “NUEVA ASUNCIÓN” iniciará el sexto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Alto Lima, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Sonia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de mantas, tienda de espejos y llaveros, tejido y venta de chompas, tienda de escabeches, confección de chamarras.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Sonia es integrante, ella indica que hace dos años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una compañera de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de espejos; da a conocer que este negocio lo aprendió de su madre, ya que ella ayudaba en su venta desde niña, cuando empezó a convivir con su pareja decide independizarse.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de espejos por mayor) que adquirirá de las distribuidoras de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, ya que ella vive en unión libre y tiene dos hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito y las capacitaciones que ofrece la institución.
