Cleibeth is 25 years old and lives in the southwest of the city with her little boy, aged 3. She started her business 2 years ago, when she lost her job and had to find another source of income in order to support her child, since she separated from her husband. Cleibeth has two businesses. The first consists in renting out a washing machine by the hour. The second one is retail: she sells women's and men's clothing directly to the customers. She sells both cash and on credit and works every day from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. She buys her merchandise cash from nearby towns and in the retail shop of Barranquilla, depending on who offers the best deals. She is asking for her first loan in order to buy women's clothing, watches, trousers, and other items which her customers asked for. Her goal for the future is to have a house of her own, since having to pay rent is detrimental to the financial stability her growing little boy needs.
