Sin S. is 23 years old and lives with her 26-year-old husband in Kampong Cham. She is currently pregnant, but continues to work as a grocer and earns about $1 each day, while her husband works as a blacksmith and earns about $5 each day. In order to help her husband expand his business and thereby more effectively support their family when her baby is born, Sin is requesting a loan of $1,000, which will be used to purchase more sophisticated blacksmith tools.
