Mrs. Thlang C. is married with five children and works as a housewife. Her husband, Uy So C., is the head of the family and works as a construction foremen, making about $3.00 each day for his household. One of her children works at a factory and can earn around $1.50 per day for his household.
Given the amount of money her child makes at work and the money he spends on a motor taxi commuting to work, it is not profitable for him to work. Thus Mrs Thlang C. would like to request a loan from KIVA to purchase a motor-bike for him to reduce his expenses. She believes this will increase her family’s savings.
