The community bank group "Amigas de Kalaque" ["Friends from Kalaque"] begins its first cycle at ProMujer at the regional center of Achacachi. The group is composed of eight members and is headed by a board of which Sonia is the President. The members of this community association have businesses that are varied and include fishing, buying and selling cattle, selling milk, and weaving blankets. The loan is a great help to micro-entrepreneurs like Sonia. She reports that this is her first time taking out a loan with ProMujer. She entered on the invitation of a consultant who visited her home. Today she has a fishing business and weaves blankets. She reports that she has been in business for several years, since she used to be involved in a family business and once she was married she started an independent one.
The loan will bring a capital increase for the purchase of fishing nets that she will buy in the markets in the city of El Alto and brought back to her fishing space. Her work will allow her to generate resources to support her family as she is married and has three children.
When asked what she likes about ProMujer, Sonia replies that she likes the training offered by the institution.

La A.C. “AMIGAS DE KALAQUE” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Achacachi, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Sonia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: pesca, venta y compra de ganado, venta de leche, tejido de mantas.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Sonia es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de un asesor de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de pesca y tejido de mantas; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprende hace varios años, ya que el mismo era un negocio familiar, posterior a su matrimonio decide iniciar un negocio independiente.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de red de pesca) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente instalará en su espacio de pesca. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, ya que ella es casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta la capacitación que ofrece la institución.
