In this Group: Haya , Aminata , Mama , Batoma , Dado
The Benkadi Group is largely made up of monogamous women. On average, they are 39 years old and have three children. They all live in Sabalibougou, a neighborhood in Bamako, and met through neighborhood ties.

The group members sell incense, legumes, telephones, and clothing. With the goal of increasing their available stock, the group members decided to work with Soro Yiriwaso and are on their second group loan cycle.

Mrs. Haya (the woman seated at far right in the photo) has an excellent reputation in the sale of the best quality incense. She plans to use her loan to purchase four boxes of cologne, six kilograms of magnonkissèni [a type of nut or seed], and seven bottles of good quality perfume. This product is thus made with the perfect scents and is ready to be sold in Sabalibougou and door-to-door to a customer base made up mainly of women.

Mrs. Haya hopes to see an average monthly profit of 90,000 CFA francs from this loan, which will be reinvested in the business. Her goal for this relationship with Soro Yiriwaso is to purchase a plot of residential land.

In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
