Mary is a widowed mother of five children, four of whom are adults and one who is in school. She lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. She prepares local brew and sells it to her customers who get it from her pub. She cites seasonality as her major challenge.
She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business. With the loan she is requesting, Mary wants to purchase ingredients such as maize flour and water, as well as chemicals for her business.
