Israël fait partie du groupe Rugenge et habite à Bujumbura. Il a 43 ans et est marié à Jeanine,
une cultivatrice. Ensemble ils ont 6 enfants âgés de 3 à 17 ans, dont 5 étudient.

Il fait le commerce de boutique (haricot, de riz, de savon,…) depuis 1 an.

C’est son premier crédit à Turame. Avec le crédit Kiva qu’il obtient, il va augmenter son capital et acheter une grande quantité de haricot, de riz, de savons,... à revendre, pour gagner plus.

Dans les années prochaines, il voudrait ouvrir une deuxième boutique et voir ses enfants étudier.
