Ali is a married man. He has two children, both of whom attend school. Together with his wife, they live at their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
He has operated a business selling fresh water for the past three years, selling from home to his neighbors. He faces a major challenge of seasonality, since during the rainy season, business is low.
With the KES 100,000, he wants to purchase a water tank and install a water tap for his business. He dreams of expanding his business and establishing another business in the near future.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
