Gagik lives in Kapan city in the Syunik region. He had a vocational education and for 25 years he worked at the machinery factory. Now he works at the National Statistical Office as an agronomist-researcher. He is not married and now, despite being employed, he also has a lot of time to spend on farming and agricultural activities.

Gagik has a small farm in the nearby village of Srashen, where he has several cows and a calf, and 10 chickens. On his plot of land he can cultivate potatoes, cabbages, beans and carrots very successfully, and has apple, plum and pear trees. All the harvest from his farm he sells locally. Gagik says that since he lives alone, he has few personal needs and manages to take care of his farm properly and with great pleasure.
