Darwin is single and helps his parents with his transportation services for a living. For three years, Darwin was happy to say that this helps his parents a lot. He dreams of building his own future home to provide them a comfortable style of living for his future family. It is quite a big dream, but he works hard to achieve this. He borrowed a loan from GDMPC micro finance for maintenance costs of his motorcycle. In the future, he wants to earn more through this by thinking it is not only a service, but a business in order to reach his dreams of having a better future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
