Anna Lou is married and operates a transportation business, while her husband earns a living as a teacher. Running a transportation business for four years, Anna Lou is happy to say that this helps her family a lot. She borrowed a loan from GDMPC microfinance to pay for additional maintenance costs and motor repairs. In the future, Anna Lou wants to improve the business to reach her dream of having a better life with her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
