Pilli, who is in her early thirties, is married and has got three children who are in school. For three years now, Pilli makes her living by managing a small retail shop selling different items like dry food, airtime, bread, donuts etc. She opens her shop from 07am to 03pm per working day and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This is her fifth loan from Kiva partner Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans all of which paid back successfully to grow her seed capital by restocking new items which previous not found in her shop. She is doing great and keeps on working towards her dream of opening a big shop. Pilli earned a profit which she used to buy a plot of land and build a house. She paid part of school fees and household expenses. With her new loan, she will buy new shop stocks to meet her customers demand.

Pilli will share this loan with her loan group" FAIDIKA GRP” which totals two members. The member of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
