This 26-year-old client lives with his wife and two children in their own home. He has been working in agriculture for several years and that has given him the skills and knowledge he needs to look after his crops. He mainly grows corn and sorghum. When the harvest is ready, he stores it in the granary shown in the photo. Then he takes it out and sells it to some trading agencies near his home. The income he generates goes towards household expenses.

He is asking for a loan to buy some agricultural supplies which will help him sow seeds. He needs compost, fertilizers and seeds. This will help him to earn more profit and continue looking after his family and home with no restrictions.

el cliente de 26 años de edad vive con su esposa y sus dos hijos en casa propia, el se dedica a la agricultura desde hace varios años y eso le ha dado la capacidad y el conocimiento necesario para asistir sus cultivos, su principal siembra es el maíz y el maicillo, cuando su cosecha ya esta lista la almacena en los graneros que muestra la fotografía para luego salir a comercializarla en las agencias de compra-venta de granos básicos que están cerca de su lugar de residencia, con las ganancias que obtiene de sus ventas ayuda en los gastos que su familia tiene , el está solicitando un crédito para poder comprar insumos agrícolas que le ayuden en la siembra de sus cultivos como: abonos, semillas, fertilizantes y asi poder tener mejores ganancias y seguir ayudando el los gastos de su casa sin ninguna limitación.

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.   


Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.
