Alioune
Mr. Alioune is a master tailor who has been in business for over six years. He is married and responsible for managing the family's nutrition. At the same time he deals with his homes' water and electricity bills, as well as his employees' salaries.

He starts every day at 9 am and returns home at 10 pm. He is a member of one of UIMCEC's branches, where he has already repaid three previous loans.

He is requesting a loan of 400,000 (XOF) to buy a more powerful sewing machine and to have some working capital so he can further develop his tailoring activity.

His ambition is to save money and in the future buy a plot of land, on which he can build little by little. Currently he lives in the family home and would like in the near future to become more independent.

More information about this loan

To reach borrowers who would not normally qualify for loans, UIMCEC has developed partnerships with a number of local organizations created by the poor to promote savings and mutual support. Most members of these organizations take group loans from UIMCEC. Some group members have larger businesses requiring more capital, and therefore receive individual loans. To meet their needs, UIMCEC is offering this loan at a lower interest rate with no material guarantee requirement. By supporting this loan, you are helping poor borrowers access credit at  lower interest rates.
