Nelly is 33 years old and has been in beauty services for a living from a very young age.
She has her beauty shop in a house that she rents in the center of town north of Esmeraldas, in the same house she has lived in for 10 years. She needs this loan to buy accessories like creams, deodorants, dye, relaxers, hair treatments, and extensions.
She wants to grow her business, give work to young people that like hair styling, and buy her own house for her business and to live in with her daughter. The community where she lives is very vulnerable. The people live from agriculture that is difficult to take to market. Nelly is new in the group "Unidos Venceremos" or "United We Overcome" and her companions elected her leader of the group for her work commitment and dedication to the tasks.
