Ephantus is 69 years old, from Nakuru. He is married to Teresia and they are blessed with five children, aged 20, 14, 12, 10 and six years old.
Ephantus is a farmer and he has been farming for the last 30 years.
To enable him to buy a motorcycle, which will be used by his son to carry passengers for a fee, thereby increasing the family's income, he has applied for his first loan from VisionFund Kenya, in the amount of KES 100,000.
Ephantus' monthly income right now is KES 20,000 and he intends to use the anticipated profits from his expanded business to pay his loan back to VisionFund Kenya and to educate his children.
Ephantus hopes to be a successful farmer in the future.
