Bright Junior School
Bright Junior School will repay this loan from their school fees, which they collect each term. This will be supplemented by the sale of carbon credits, which the school will generate from using the water tank. Adinani ultimately hopes that having access to safe drinking water will improve his student’s concentration and attendance by reducing the number of children that fall sick from water-borne diseases as well as increase the number of students coming to the school.
More information about this loan
This loan supports the purchase of a Safe Water System for a school located near urban areas in Uganda. The water treatment system will increase access to safe water for students, reduce the cost burden of fuels used to boil and sanitize water, and help people adopt healthier sanitation practices. This loan will be used to provide borrowers with needed goods or services, as opposed to cash or financial credit. The loan repayments are tied to the start of the school term, which is the time when schools have the highest cash flow as a result of school fees. By supporting this loan, you’re helping school children and teachers access safe water.
