Concepcion was separated from her husband and she lives with her four children. She prepares snacks and vend it in their village to make a living. For many years in selling snacks, she had maintain the tastes and sustain it for she had no other way of earning income for her family. To improve the business, she borrowed a loan from GDMPC micro credit to buy raw ingredients to prepare burger for sale.She hopes to have a better living situation in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
