José Narciso
José is a young 26 year old entrepreneur. He is in a common-law relationship and has two children. His wife takes care of the house. He only studied until Grade 3 as his family was in a difficult financial situation.

José has worked in agriculture since he was quite young. He learned from his mother and also from his father who was always milking the cows. Besides farming he also drives a truck something his father taught him to do. So he works at anything possible as his priority is to get his family ahead. He also works in the sugar-cane fields and gets up at 4 am as the bus that takes them to the fields comes at 5 am. This is his daily routine.

The loan José is requesting from CrediCampo is needed to invest in the purchase of fertilizer, seeds, poison and to pay for the rent on the land and to buy a pair of oxen to work. His dreams for the future are to see his children get an education and prepare academically, plaster his house as it is made from adobe, pay off this loan and get ahead.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of a project to help young men and women in El Salvador (under age 26) launch their own businesses. The field partner is reducing the guarantee for these individuals, who normally would not have access to loans due to their lack of experience. Unemployment for young people is high in El Salvador, a fact that motivates many of them to leave the country instead of searching for work. Aside from access to financing, clients will also be grouped together according to their business types to receive training from CrediCampo's social development unit, and to share advice and support with one another.
