The communal bank "ROCA FUERTE" ["Strong Rock"] begins their tenth cycle in ProMujer as part of the Santiago II regional center. The group consists of nine members headed by a board of which Patricia is President. Businesses that the members of this communal bank have are varied and include selling freeze-dried potatoes, sewing skirts, selling clothing, selling fruit, selling food, manufacturing stuffed animals, and selling quilts.

This loan will benefit a small entrepreneur like Patricia. She began working with ProMujer a year ago, entering on the invitation from a promoter of the institution who visited her home. Today, she has a business selling cleaning materials. She reports that she began this business several years ago on her own initiative upon observing that these items are commonly sold in the market.

This loan will provide an increase in working capital to buy wholesale cleaning materials in the shops of El Alto which will later be sold in her own retail space. This manner of working allows her to generate resources to support her family as she is a single mother of 4 children.

La A.C. “ROCA FUERTE” iniciará el décimo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Santiago II, está compuesta por nueve integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Patricia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de chuño, costura de polleras, venta de ropa, venta de fruta, venta de comida, elaboración de peluches, venta de edredones.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Patricia es integrante, ella indica que hace un año que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta material de limpieza; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió hace varios años por iniciativa propia al observar que estos productos son muy vendidos en el mercado.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de materiales de limpieza por mayor) que adquirirá en las tiendas de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, ya que ella es soltera y tiene cuatro hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las reuniones de pago del crédito, pues de aprender, puede visitar el consultorio y se reúne con sus amigas.
